Sports Kinesiology:

Sports Kinesiology is a culmination of the most advanced philosophies, techniques and procedures from Orthopaedic Medical Science and Holistic Kinesiology, incorporating sports medicine, sports science, performance training, recovery & rehabilitation, nutrition and nutritional biochemistry, psychology and the energetic sciences.

Injury Rehabilitation and Pain Management:

Kinesiology therapists utilizing muscle monitoring techniques have a distinct advantage over other practitioners as they have specific diagnostic tools to determine the best therapy for the athlete. These tools range from specific muscle sessions designed to normalize muscle activity to sessions designed to aid damaged tissues like skin, ligaments, tendons and joints.

Peak Performance Training:

Sports Kinesiology utilizes corrective exercise techniques designed to take the athlete above and beyond what their sport requires giving them a vast range of ‘motor solutions’ to draw from during competition and performance events. Advanced scientific programming identifies the needs of the athlete and areas in which specific individual training will help them excel. This combined with nutritional advice tailored to the individuals metabolic type creates the ultimate individual holistic training solution for success.

Working with the traditional Vedic principles I focus on using exercise to:
             1. Rejuvenate the body and cultivate the mind
             2. Remove stress
             3. Develop mind-body coordination

Traditional exercise principles used in gyms and by most trainers today have been developed under the ‘no pain, no gain’ model. This is an outdated model that often results in unchallenging, repetitive programs, injury and lack of motivation. Excessive cardio-vascular and weight training causes stress to what is often an overstressed system.

Sports Kinesiology fitness training is specifically designed to allow the body to exercise, increase flexibility and improve strength and endurance free of stress. Utilising full body exercises and programs that challenge the muscular system without causing unnecessary adrenal stress which is often the root cause of problems such as depression, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. Sports Kinesiology fitness training is also combined with nutritional advice specific to your body type so that you can achieve the results you desire.

Mind over matter:

Kinesiology can assist you with the following emotional components of sport and fitness:

· Goal setting

· Visualisation techniques

· Clearing belief systems and old patterns of behavior

· Decreasing the emotional stress created around competition and performance

· Learning difficulties
